Edited version of photo for Edit This 2 by Isabella Shores. The original photo was cropped, followed by oil paint filter, rock filter (for sharpness and texture), and selective use of green color. The skies were processed separately with metallic filter to bring out contrast. Irfanview was used for the photo manipulation.
I became interested in nature photography while living in Washington, after my interest in hiking took off. I tend to notice the beauty in small items and have a penchant for close-ups of flowers and critters (especially slugs and snails).
